Born in Queens. Built for New York. Fabco runs on family — and New York runs on Fabco

In 1953, on a busy Queens street where kids played on stoops and neighbors knew each other by name, Fabco Shoes opened its very first doors. It was a small shop with big windows, bigger dreams, and three founders — Fred, Abe, and Bob — whose initials became the “F-A-B” in Fabco.

What started as a simple idea — quality shoes for hardworking New Yorkers at prices they could afford — became the beginning of a legacy that would span three families and three generations.

Fabco Timeline

1953

Post-war New York was buzzing with hope. Families were growing, neighborhoods were expanding, and people were always on the move. Fred, Abe, and Bob saw an opportunity: to build a place where every New Yorker could walk in with confidence and walk out ready for whatever the city threw their way.

One store. One dream. A commitment that never wavered.
